Department for manufacturing steel constructions, constituent part of Main Railway workshop, was founded in 1889. Its production programme was oriented to manufacturing and mounting of all kinds of cranes and bridge winches, as like as erection of assembled steel constructions.

By assimilation of new technologies and extending its scope of work, department for steel constructions becomes «Mechanical installation and steel constructions» company. Upon initiative of «Energoinvest», for forming a unique and professional company for factory erection, this department becomes commercial independent company.

In 1979 it changes its name to «Energomontage», in that period acting as major company in field of electrical power supply installations and automation.

In 1992, desiring to extend its scope of work, as a daugter-company of «Energoinvest», is changing its name to «Energoinvest - Comet» (EC).

In 2002. «Energoinvest - Comet» is privatized by Partner Group, begining its golden age. With new structural organization and significant investments in inventing new technologies, EC becomes leading company for factory erection and modernization in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
